Future of Caribbean music sales
As we all know the music industry, esp the Caribbean music industry is seeking for business models which work. There are two interesting discussions at the moment, one on Facebook where Mark of iRibbeantunes says “Free music we can’t affort” and the other one on dancehallmusic.de (in German) talking about the new release policy of Jamaican producer crew Daseca (based on an article on dancehall.mobi).
In both discussions I made my point that free music will have a measurable positive effect for promotion and sales figures if it’s done right.
