I am very happy to announce that the steel pan band Silver Stars just won the Panorama 2010 competition in Trinidad. Panorama in Trinidad is the most important competition for all panists and steel bands.

Silver Stars performed the song “Battle Zone” by Anselm Douglas, which is released on my label Faluma. Silver Stars also won in Panorama title in 2009 with an interpretation of “First in de line”

One of the most important competitions in Trinidad Carnival, the Soca Monarch on Fantastic Friday is over. 2010 champion are JW & Blaze with ‘Palance’; defending champion Fay-Ann Lyon placed 3rd.
